The Ryo Payments Gateway for WooCommerce can add RYO as a checkout method. Configure it, test a small payment, then return here to apply for a merchant profile.

Build Your Merchant Profile

This application feeds the directory card and the full merchant page directly. The guidance beneath each field explains what visitors will see and why we need the information.

Ryo Business Directory Application

Nothing is published automatically. Your submission creates a private draft that ryo.news reviews and may edit before publication.

01Business Identity & Where You Operate

These details drive the merchant card, profile URL, public profile header and the Directory filters. Use customer-facing information rather than internal company names.

Use the public trading name customers recognise. This becomes the merchant profile title and WordPress automatically creates the profile slug from it when the approved listing is published.

The main external website linked from your card and profile. Use the full https:// address. We also use the hostname to prevent duplicate directory applications.

This powers the Online / Physical / Online + Physical filter and determines whether a public street address is relevant.

Choose the single category that best describes the primary business. It powers Directory filtering and related-merchant recommendations.

Choose the country that best represents the business base or main market. Choose International when no single country accurately describes a global/location-independent business. This controlled list keeps country filters and network metrics clean.

Describe where customers can buy or where you ship/serve. Examples: “Worldwide — Online”, “London”, or “Nationwide service”. This appears publicly on the card and profile.

02Logo & Directory Card

The card is the first thing RYO holders scan. Give us a clean square logo, a factual one-sentence summary and search terms that make the merchant easy to discover.

LOGO

JPEG or PNG only. Must be square. Recommended: 1000 × 1000 px. Minimum: 500 × 500 px. Maximum: 3000 × 3000 px and 2 MB.

One factual sentence explaining your main products or services. This becomes the card excerpt and social preview description. Avoid slogans, excessive claims and ALL CAPS.

0/220

Optional. Add 3–6 concise comma-separated terms customers may search for, such as “Leather Goods, International Shipping, Ecommerce”. These feed Directory search and profile tags.

03Full Merchant Profile

This becomes the detailed public profile. Write for a customer who has never heard of the business before. ryo.news may edit for clarity and consistency.

Explain what the business is, what it sells or does, who it serves and any context a customer should understand before visiting the website. Plain text only.

Be specific. This becomes the dedicated “What You Can Buy With RYO” section. If RYO is accepted for everything you sell, say so clearly.

04RYO Payment Experience

The Directory should explain how RYO actually works at your business, not merely claim that it is accepted. These details also drive the payment-method filter and verification workflow.

Choose the primary method. This generates the card acceptance badge and public filter.

Optional. Give our reviewer a checkout, payment-information or public page that helps confirm RYO acceptance. This URL is never published automatically.

Write the steps a customer follows to pay with RYO. These instructions are published on the merchant profile and may be edited for clarity.

Private reviewer instructions only. Explain where the RYO option appears or how we can perform a small test. Never submit wallet seeds, spend keys, passwords or other secrets.

05Public Customer Contact & Social Profiles

Everything in this section is optional and public. Supply only customer-facing contact routes you want displayed on the merchant profile.

Use a support or sales address rather than a private staff address.

Include the international country code where relevant.

Customer-facing support or contact page.

Optional official business profile only.

Optional official business profile only.

Optional official business or company profile.

Optional official business page.

06Private Administrative Contact

We use this only for application review, future secure update links and payment reverification reminders. It is never shown in the public API, merchant card or profile.

The person ryo.news should contact about this listing.

Private. Used for correspondence, secure update links and reverification reminders.

This helps us confirm that the submitter is authorised to represent the merchant.

07Confirm & Submit

Submission creates a private draft. It does not publish the listing. Existing merchants should use Request an Update on their current profile rather than submit a duplicate application.

Submission does not guarantee inclusion. Listings may be edited, declined, suspended or removed. A directory listing is informational and does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee. Merchants are responsible for reporting material changes.
